Katrina is a third generation Californian and has lived in walking distance of Rock Creek Sports Club for nearly 20 years. She is Physical Mind Institute mat trained; IM=X® reformer trained; Balanced Body apparatus trained. She has insatiable curiosity—about what makes people, our bodies, and the world tick. While completing her dissertation using statistics to harness large datasets and identify spatial patterns, she walked into a classical Pilates studio on a whim. Although Pilates is for every body and level of fitness, its focus on postural alignment and strengthening and lengthening our muscles to support our bodies through movement immediately awakened her love of choreography and grace from her years of dancing en pointe and competitive swimming. Katrina taught Pilates mat and Reformer classes for many years while working in downtown Washington, DC. In 2025 she transitioned out of federal service, and embraces her pirouette back to teaching Pilates to all populations. She is a credentialed executive coach, and is a health and wellness coach conferred by the National Board of Medical Examiners. Resilience in life or on or off the mat (or reformer/chair/tower/barrel) are all muscles that can we develop and grow regardless of age or stage in life.
