Our goal is to make RCSC just about the safest, cleanest and most worry free environment for you.
Since your safety is our biggest priority, we have been working diligently behind the scenes to find the most effective cleaning products available and to create a plan to keep the club safe and clean while you workout.

Our employees are being trained in our enhanced cleaning protocols and are being scheduled to work around the clock so that you feel at ease while working out with us. We’ve designed plans and timelines for which items will be disinfected each hour (and even minute) of the day. While we will do everything we can to make this happen, we will need your support and participation to make this successful. In turn we will ask that you agree to our new “MEMBER OATH” before returning to the gym.

PEACE OF MIND

We have found the BEST virus-killing machine on the market. Two are being manufactured specifically for RCSC workout spaces. These machines will continuously clean the air and surfaces, eliminating pathogens from both.—YES, it kills the Coronavirus.

We will be using an EPA registered disinfectant to clean frequently touched surfaces throughout the day. We will close the club at 1PM each day for an hour to clean more efficiently, using an electrostatic sprayer. This process will be completed again when we close.—YES, it kills the Coronavirus.

We will use EPA registered, hospital grade disinfectant wipes that are conveniently placed throughout the club for your use. —YES, it kills the Coronavirus.

We have added more than 20 alcohol based hand sanitizing stations for your use.—YES, it kills the Coronavirus.

OPERATING HOURS

6:00AM – 9:00PM Monday – Friday
8:00AM – 7:00PM Saturday and Sunday.

We will close daily at 1:00PM for 1 hour to deep clean the club and equipment.  Members will not have access to the club at this time.

2:00PM – 3:00PM Daily Reserved for Seniors Only

WHAT TO EXPECT WHEN YOU ARRIVE

Montgomery County has mandated that face coverings are required when exercising indoors at a gym or fitness center. Masks with air valves are not permitted.  Click Here

ENTRANCE

  1. You will be greeted by a RCSC team member at the front door, asked about your general health and given a run down of the club flow.
  2. Bring a face mask: The Montgomery County mandate states that members are required to wear face masks at all times while in the gym. Click here for details.  Masks with air valves are not permitted.
  3. You will be asked to sign our “Member Oath”. You will not be admitted to the club if you do not sign the document.
  4. You will check in using the touchless scanner.
  5. You will be provided with two towels: a white towel for sweat and a green striped towel for cleaning. Towels will not be offered throughout the club. You will return towels to the front desk when you leave.
  6. You will be reminded to wash your hands after checking in.
  7. Please follow the flow of travel throughout the club as noted by directional arrows on the floor.
  8. Latex gloves, masks and spray bottles of hand sanitizer will be available for sale.
  9. Cash will not be accepted for retail purchases. A credit card or card on file may be used.
  10. During this time, no guests will be allowed.
  11. You will check out of the club using a different scanner. This will ensure that we have an accurate count of members in the club at any one time. The clubs capacity will be displayed on our website to make planning your visits more convenient.
Cleaning:

The front desk team will sanitize the entrance door handles, desk, seating areas, computer screen, keyboard, pens and credit card machine as needed.

LOCKER ROOMS

  1. Lockers will have limited availability. Please be mindful when selecting a locker to accommodate social distancing.
  2. In order to allow for social distancing, we are asking our members to spend as little time as possible in the locker room so other members can gain easy access to the sinks.
  3. Masks must be worn at all times in the locker room.
  4. Showers will remain closed until further notice.
  5. Bath towels will not be available for use.
  6. Sauna use requires reservations.  BRING YOUR OWN TOWELS.
  7. Hand dryers will be temporarily disconnected and paper towels will be used for hand drying.
  8. Members will be permitted to change in the locker rooms while adhering to social distancing guidelines.
Cleaning:

Lockers, toilets, urinals, sinks, faucets, soap dispensers, mirrors, and towel paper dispensers will be disinfected every 20 minutes. The floors will be vacuumed, swept, and mopped 4 times per day.

FITNESS AND CARDIO EQUIPMENT

  1. In order to increase social distancing, we will make every other piece of cardio equipment available for use, or space equipment at 6 feet apart. Signs will note when equipment is Unavailable For Use.
  2. Please wipe down every piece of equipment before and after use with your green striped cleaning towel and spray bottles found throughout the club.
  3. We have placed acrylic shields on the treadmills, ellipticals and Arc trainers.
  4. Hard to clean, non-essential apparatus will be removed from the workout floor.
  5. Square or rectangular boundaries will be marked on the floor of the weight room with tape to create space between members and to indicate designated workout areas.
  6. Please follow the flow of travel throughout the club as noted by directional arrows on the floor.
  7. A mask must be worn at all times.
Cleaning:

Our cleaning team will be on the floor disinfecting cardio and strength equipment and high touch areas around the clock. We will provide every member with their own towel to clean equipment before and after each use. In addition, our staff will be wiping down equipment, cleaning mirrors, windows, screens, handles, seats, and stair rails with disinfectant.

PERSONAL TRAINING

  1. You will pre-book sessions with your trainer.
  2. 24-hour cancellation notice is required.
  3. Personal trainers will wear masks and give no touch assistance to clients.
  4. Trainer and client will practice social distancing during sessions.
  5. All equipment will be properly sanitized and wiped down by staff before and after use.
  6. Virtual workouts and Outdoor workouts will continue to be available and are encouraged.
  7. A mask must be worn at all times.

GROUP EXERCISE STUDIO
(when permitted by Montgomery County)

  1. Once we are able to offer indoor classes, you will make a reservation (via our website or app), beginning 48 hours prior to the class time.  If you are a member, please sign up here https://rockcreek.motionvibe.com/ to register your account.
  2. No shows or cancellations within 8 hours of class time will be charged a $10 fee.
  3. Capacity for classes will be limited.
  4. You will check in for your class prior to attending.
  5. You will use the green striped towel to clean all equipment before and after use.
  6. Equipment will be scaled down to incorporate non-porous items only.
  7. Work out spaces will be marked.
  8. You will not be able to workout in the studios when a class is not in session.
  9. The class schedule will allow for additional cleaning and transition time in between classes.
  10. We ask that you please bring your own equipment/props for class (yoga mats and blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets, bands etc.)
  11. A mask must be worn at all times.
Cleaning:

The fitness studios will be mopped and disinfected in between classes. In order to increase social distancing and allow for easier cleaning, we will designate workout stations for each participant. Any equipment used at designated stations will be sanitized before and after use.

PILATES

  1. You will pre-book sessions with your trainer.
  2. 24-hour cancellation notice is required.
  3. Pilates instructors will wear masks and give no touch assistance to clients.
  4. Trainer and client will practice social distancing during sessions.
  5. Please wash your hands before entering and after leaving the Pilates studio.
  6. All equipment will be properly sanitized and wiped down by staff before and after use.
  7. A mask must be worn at all times.
Cleaning:

The Pilates reformer and props will be disinfected before and after each session. There will be at least 15 minutes between sessions to allow for cleaning and limit contact between clients.

PLAYROOM

  1. Reservations are required and will be made via our website or app.
  2. No shows or cancellations within 4 hours of your reservation will be charged a $10 fee.
  3. Service hours are from 9AM to 1PM Saturday and Sunday.
  4. Use is limited to one family at a time.
  5. Visits are limited to 60 minutes
  6. Please show up at your scheduled time only and do not extend your time beyond 60 minutes.
  7. One caregiver will work at a time.
  8. Children over the age of two must wear a mask at all times.
Cleaning:

The playroom will be mopped and disinfected in between reservations. Toys and other frequently touched surfaces will be disinfected. The toilet, sink and faucet will be sanitized after each use.
